Kristen Keats is a CPA with more than 25 years in public accounting. She started at a Big 6 firm, ran her own practice from home for nine years, and in 2020 founded Breakaway Bookkeeping & Advising and bought Sherwood Tax, a small-business tax firm in Sherwood, Oregon. She has represented small firms on the Intuit Tax Council. At Accrual she helps shape tax and CAS products.
